East Hills, NY — Sid Jacobson JCC,the only full-service JCC on Long Island’s North Shore, successfully emerged from the challenging years of the pandemic in 2022, providing life-supporting programming and services that promote cultural, mental, and physical well-being to thousands of families and individuals in the area and beyond.

Over the course of the year, SJJCC saw an uptick in member activity, including athletic services.

Beloved Camp Jacobson forced to close

East Hills, NY – After a years-long legal battle with the Village of Brookville, Camp Jacobson – the beloved summer camp where thousands of Long Island children have made memories and friendships since 2009 – has been forced to close its doors because of an order by the Village of Brookville, ending the hopes of more than 400 families for the 2023 summer camp season.
