Israel Support

Our mission for the last ten years has been to support Israel here as well as within Israel, itself.

As the news of the attacks on October 7th seared our hearts, your support fueled our efforts to aid Israel. We, and those benefiting from our support in Israel, express our profound gratitude, a sample of which can be found in the video below. As the home of the Randie Waldbaum Malinsky Center for Israel (RCFI), the only one of its kind on the Island, our mission for the last ten years has been to support Israel here as well as within Israel, itself.  Help us raise the funds we need to support Israeli communities and continue our work right here on Long Island by donating today.

To date, over $100,000 has been delivered to Israeli communities needing security equipment, IDF reserve units and battalions requesting winter clothing, headlamps, specialty foods, and other items needed by soldiers. Click here to find the complete list of allocations.

Here on the Island, RCFI Shlichim and Shinshinim, young emissaries from Israel, have met with interfaith groups and thousands of youth in over 30 JCCs, synagogues, and Hillels, providing a deeper understanding of the conflict and connecting Long Island families to families in Israel.

We are now entering the second phase of our efforts.

In Phase II, we are identifying Israeli communities asking for rebuilding funds and looking after the continuing needs of reserve units that are still in uniform. It is clear now, more than ever before, we need to reach beyond our Jewish community to educate more individuals and families. Sid Jacobson JCC, through its Center for Israel, has developed a steering committee of 10 Jewish Defense organizations and all Long Island JCCs to create additional educational programs aimed at tweens and teens, coordinating responses to real-time antisemitism on Long Island, and developing a robust educational weekly program to provide up-to-date facts and information to all who want to learn.

I recently led a solidarity mission of fellow JCC executives to Israel. At every turn, we received messages: ‘Please tell our story,’ ‘Please tell the truth of what happened.’ And so it is our mission to extract meaning from this tragedy, using it as a force to bring truth and clarity amidst misinformation and falsehoods.

Frankly, we can’t do it without you. Would you please help us raise the funds we need to support Israeli communities and continue our work right here on Long Island?
