Content Creator

Sid Jacobson JCC is seeking a Content Creator to join our dynamic marketing and communications team who will write and edit clear, informative, and engaging copy that supports the mission and grows the brand through various digital and print marketing channels. Increase awareness, membership, program participation, donations & fundraising revenue, and relevance among our various target audiences.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

In collaboration with the marketing team and program leaders, develop engaging and relevant content across various platforms – including print collateral, social media channels, website, eblasts, and other digital platforms – that enhances the JCC’s image and position within the marketplace and the general public

Develop a solid understanding of our membership and 20+ lines of business, including their respective programs and events, to accurately define suitable content that aligns with their goals and objectives

  • Optimize and analyze advertising campaigns on search engines, social media platforms, display advertising, retargeting networks and local publications
  • Deliver content that is on-brand, on strategy and delivered on time
  • Write, proofread, and edit content for grammar, spelling, and punctuation errors
  • Elevate our thinking in social and creator marketing – use our platforms to bring our programs and events to life in ways that are motivated by the community’s needs and beliefs
  • Integrate new marketing techniques and tools to deliver a competitive advantage
  • Optimize content for SEO to increase organic traffic and improve search engine rankings
  • Create and maintain an agency-wide marketing calendar to execute efficient campaigns and cross-promote departments as needed
  • Curate and manage social media content including text, video, and multi-media formats. Send, share, tag, monitor and respond to comments, and spark & engage in conversation
  • Draft and provide final review of all eBlast content. Conduct continual experiments with A/B testing, and optimize templates, subject lines, and CTAs to enhance campaign performance and deliver ROI
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest developments in social media/digital marketing and incorporate new tools and techniques into strategies
  • Evaluate the outcomes of marketing projects from conception to completion and use insights/data to refine and optimize future strategies
  • Establish and enforce editorial guidelines to ensure quality and consistency
  • Support and collaborate with Program Directors, Marketing Managers, and Graphic Designers
  • Additional duties as assigned by supervisor

POSITION REQUIREMENTS:

  • 3+ years’ experience in content marketing, social media marketing or a similar role. Nonprofit experience preferred, but not required
  • Communication Skills: Stellar verbal and written communication skills with an understanding of how and when to apply different tones: i.e. quick-witted, humorous, serious, emotional, impactful and sincere
  • Creativity: Conceptualize and identify fresh, innovative ways to engage and energize current audiences while reaching new ones
  • Strategic Thinking: Identify compelling angles and implement successful campaigns that align with brand values and business objectives
  • Time Management: Excellent organizational and time management skills; simultaneously manage multiple initiatives while meeting concurrent deadlines in a very fast-paced environment
  • Analytical Thinking: Monitor and analyze campaign results, provide insights, and make recommendations based on data-driven decisions
  • Teamwork: Collaborate with other departments to develop and execute successful, cohesive, and comprehensive campaigns
