Our state-of-the-art health and wellness center is ideal for the entire family, with programs targeting all ages and ability levels.  We offer: year-round aquatics, personal training, pilates, group exercise classes, team sports & leagues and so much more.

Our Facilities

At our Gershwind/Jacobson Health & Wellness Center, the rewards of better physical, mental and spiritual health begin the moment you walk through the doors. As you make your way through our 36,000 square feet of state-of-the-art fitness equipment and recreational space, our friendly, experienced and professional staff are waiting to greet you and your family. With an array of full service group exercise studios, strength and conditioning rooms, cardiovascular area, heated pools, spin room, indoor track and basketball courts, you’ll have plenty of options for your personal fitness. After the workout is over, make sure to enjoy our sauna, steam and whirlpool! Minimum age to use the center is 13 years old. Those 13-15 must complete a JFit Jr. (Teen Fitness Certification Course) prior to using the fitness center.

Our signature fitness and personal training programs, cutting edge equipment and innovative classes distinguish us as more than just your ordinary health club. With our annual 5k event, raising money for the Nancy Marx Cancer Wellness Center, we’re not just a place to work out. JFIT PLUS
Ages: 16+ years

As a member, receive a complimentary JFit Plus, your design for living, including an orientation and 30-minute workout. Guiding you through our in-depth analysis of medical history, lifestyle and goals, our trained health professionals develop a personalized action plan to ensure your ultimate fitness success.

JFIT JR. TEEN FITNESS CERTIFICATION
Ages: 13–15 years
This two-part certification course is designed to ensure that all teen members are working out safely and effectively. Required in order to use the fitness center.

BOXING TRAINING
Get fighter fit without being hit! Learn boxing basics, improve body composition, gain muscle and lower stress. Limited hours of availability.

AQUATICS FITNESS TRAINING
Improve your cardiovascular endurance, rehabilitate a chronic source of pain or cross train for athletic events with our in-pool resistance and cardiovascular training. 50-minute sessions.

PILATES
Ages: 13+ years
Reform your body with this refreshing mind/body workout proven to create a strong core, increase flexibility, improve posture and athletic ability. All sessions are 55 minutes long.

PERSONAL TRAINING FOR KIDS (NEW!)
Ages: 8-12 years
Safe training geared to the development of young bodies for generalized conditioning and sports specific skills. Workout focus on functional fitness training includes calisthenics and cardio. See personal training rates for 13-16 year olds.

TEEN VACATION TRAINING (NEW!)
Ages: 13-17 years
Interested in bulking up, losing weight or building lean muscle? Make the most of your vacation from school! Work with a trainer in a bootcamp-style class and engage in discussions with a trainer & nutritionist followed by pickup basketball in the gym. Bring your lunch.

BASEBALL TRAINING
Ages: 17+ years
Swing away in our program focused on improving an athlete’s on-field performance through strength, conditioning, stabilization and flexibility exercises. Learnt he fundamentals of offense and defense through functional training exercises and explosive plyometric movements to build power, balance and coordination. Please see Personal Training Rates.

GOLF
Ages: 17+ years
Sink a hole like a pro in our special program that utilizes TRX, resistance band and medicine ball exercises to enhance balance, focus and power on the golf course.

WEEKEND WORKOUTS BEGIN AT 7AM (starting September 9)

You asked. We answered! Many of our members requested extended morning weekend hours and we are thrilled to announce that effective Saturday, September 9, we will opening our doors at 7am every Saturday and Sunday. (We’ll continue to greet you at 6am on weekdays.) We hope you’ll browse our Group Exercise schedule and Aquatics class times to see what we’ve got in store on Saturday mornings!
