Community Needs Bank
SID JACOBSON JCC’S COMMUNITY NEEDS BANK
Sid Jacobson JCC’s Community Needs Bank (CNB) is a safety net for neighbors experiencing hardships. CNB is managed by a team of volunteers and is a dedicated vocational training site for young adults with special needs. CNB operates as a collection site and distribution center for non-perishable shelf-stable food, limited-perishable food, personal care products, and household items.
CNB is a redistribution organization of Island Harvest Food Bank. As a food distribution hub, we support small local food pantries on the north shore of Long Island, so they can best provide for their clients.
Sid Jacobson JCC’s Community Needs Bank is in the JCC Annex at 200 Forest Drive, Suite 11.
CNB includes four centers:
- Nikki Schwartz Memorial Food Pantry
- Migden Family Household Needs Center
- Personal Needs Center
- Baby and Family Needs Center
CNB donates thousands of pounds of food, household items, baby essentials, and personal care items yearly to those in need.
You can support CNB in various ways, from monetary donations to local supermarket gift cards and food/supply donations. Every contribution helps us meet the needs of the community.
