CURRENT COVID POLICY

Please note, our buildings are outfitted with Needlepoint Bipolar Ionization and MERV 13 filters to purify the air.

All persons entering our facilities, who are over the eligible age of 12, are required to be fully vaccinated. (Two full doses of Pfizer or Moderna, or one Johnson & Johnson – plus two weeks post second vaccine.)

Proof will be validated through an original copy of a vaccination card or through the NY State Excelsior Pass. Those providing vaccination cards will be given instructions on how to access this information through the Excelsior Pass.

Exemptions will be for those New York State regulated OCFS, NSOFA, and OPWDD, as well as NCOFA programs that specify their own protocols. To schedule your free vaccine, please visit nassaucountyny.gov/vaccine.

MASK POLICY

  • Masks are required in all communal areas for those aged 2 and above, regardless of vaccination status
  • If you have forgotten a mask, upon arrival our security and front desk staff will immediately provide you with one
  • If a mask if is not worn properly, a staff member will request it be fixed. Should you see a mask not worn properly, please respectfully request the mask be fixed. If you are not comfortable with this interaction, please inform the nearest staff member

UPDATE FOR THE WEEK OF MONDAY, JANUARY 3, 2022:
Beginning Monday, January 3, our Early Childhood, After-School, and Center for People with Special Needs programs will run as usual, under guidelines developed by the CDC, Department of Health, OCFS, and OPWDD. Our Fay J. Lindner Senior Services Adult Day Programs and Senior Passport Programs will continue to run virtually until Monday, January 10 when a new assessment will be made. Within our Health + Wellness Center, we will continue to recommend wearing a mask, however, masks may be removed once you have reached your destination in the Conditioning Room, Cardio Room, Pool, EarlyBirdCapital Gym, and Rosenman Family Gym. The sauna and steam rooms will reopen on Monday, January 3, requiring six feet of distance between all those who enter.
