Community theatre enriches the lives of those who take an active part in it, as well as those in the community who benefit from live theatre productions. Community theatre offers a gateway to new worlds of experience, emotion and knowledge.

Our programs give you the opportunity to work with a diverse group of creative people who share a theatrical vision of that not only entertain the audience but also broadens their understanding of the world in which they live.

We have productions, workshops, camps and volunteer programs. You can become a performer, help with the lighting, create the set designs or craft the costumes. With so many ways to participate your sure to find a deeply rewarding opportunity to grow your creativity. As part of a team your participation will create an impact on the community in so many ways.

If you love performing, the JCC is the place to be! Whether you’re interested in singing, dancing or dramatic acting our workshops and productions give you the tools to do so.

A Class Act Logo_NEW

ONE DAY THEATRE WORKSHOPS

In collaboration with A Class Act, NY, New York’s premier acting studio. Participants of A Class Act workshops have appeared on Broadway, television and film.

COMMERCIAL AND VOICE-OVER WORKSHOP
Ages: 7-18 years
Learn techniques for acting in commercials and voice-overs from one of New York City’s most prestigious and busiest commercial and voice-over actors. A top talent manager will conduct a mock audition and offer valuable feedback. This workshop will help students improve public speaking and build confidence.

Opportunities

Volunteer

Love the theatre, but prefer to work behind the scenes? Volunteer opportunities are available for production assistants, set builders, scenic artists, costumers, lighting and sound technicians, stage managers and stage crew. Adults and teens welcome. Community service and college internships available.
