Who Am I? Redefining Identity After Loss

After the loss of someone we love, we may ask: Who am I without them? How do I move forward when everything has shifted? The life we shared, the roles we played, and the identity we held can all feel shaken or incomplete.
Open to anyone who has experienced the death of a loved one, this workshop offers a space to gently explore how loss and grief reshape identity. Together, we’ll reflect on the parts of ourselves that have changed, explore emerging aspects of meaning and purpose, and consider how to move forward with compassion and authenticity.
Featuring thanatologist and social worker Rashida Sanchez, MA, LMSW, FT,  specializing in grief and loss across the lifespan.

Rebuilding Connection After Loss

Grief can profoundly alter our sense of connection—with others, with ourselves, and with the world around us. After the loss of a loved one, friendships may shift, social circles may feel unfamiliar, and the idea of forming new bonds can feel overwhelming or even out of reach. You may feel an array of conflicting feelings around this topic that are certainly shared by many grievers.  Apprehension, guilt, shame, fear, excitement, and curiosity are a few of these feelings.  No matter what, you don’t have to experience them in isolation.

Open to anyone who has experienced any kind of loss, this supportive and interactive workshop explores how to gently re-engage with connection in the aftermath of grief. Participants will reflect on the changes loss brings to relationships, explore what meaningful connection looks like in this new chapter, and gain tools to nurture authentic friendships and supportive bonds.
