EARLY CHILDHOOD FAQs
Will school be open for the 2020-2021 academic year?
Unless the governor closes daycare centers, we will be open.
Will you be open if the JCC building is closed?
Yes, the Early Childhood wing can run without other programs in the building running.
Will 2’s remain 3 hours?
How will 2’s separate?
Home visits will be provided by your child’s teacher to our incoming 2 year olds to meet their teachers and we will follow an outdoor phase-in for a few days on campus and then proceed to drop off.
Will transportation still be available?
Transportation will be available for our 3 and 4 year olds. Masks must be worn on the bus and we will only be able to accommodate 5 days roundtrip. It will be on a first come first serve basis.
Will the gymnasium be available?
Yes, we will travel through our outdoor playground to the back door of the gym as to not walk through the JCC hallways.
How will tuition be affected?
Tuition will be collected monthly. If school closes for more than two weeks, you will have the opportunity to get a refund/stop payments. You will also have the opportunity to opt-in for virtual learning at a separate fee.
Is virtual learning going to be provided for those who are not comfortable sending their children to the building?
Yes, this will be a new option for online learning only at a separate fee.
Will there be a nurse on site?
Yes, we have transformed our babysitting room into a nurse’s office.
Will the school close down if a staff member or child tests positive for COVID-19?
The Department of Health will make that decision case by case but it is likely that only members of that class will be quarantined for that time.
Will there be enrichments?
We are hopeful to be able to accommodate various enrichments without mixing classes throughout the year.
Will staff and teachers be tested for COVID-19?

Where will my child enter and exit the building?
Through the Early Childhood wing doors.
