DAY HABILITATION PROGRAM WITHOUT WALLS

Program Without Walls promotes each individual’s fullest potential by helping them learn and explore their strengths through the development of transferable life skills. Our dedicated, trained, and compassionate staff work with each individual to identify their personalized goals, appropriate volunteer and training opportunities, and assess to help promote individual growth.

A typical day in the program includes life skills training, community outings, volunteer opportunities, educational workshops, and group recreation activities such as games, yoga, and meditation.

Volunteer Activities include:

  • Community Needs Bank: Volunteering by stocking, prepping orders, and delivering food to those experiencing food insecurity in the community
  • Heritage Farms and Garden: Learning community integration and transferable horticulture skills
  • Herrick’s Adult Day Program: Delivering lunches to frail seniors

Life Skills Activities include:

  • Daily training to help participants learn skills such as social/interpersonal skills, community inclusion, money management, travel training, safety skills, personal care, coping, and self-advocacy

The blend of volunteering, education, and the opportunity to socialize and collaborate with peers provides the optimum experience for individuals to reach their fullest potential and gain a true sense of pride. OPWDD accepted.
