Join us for an evening of Israeli cinema, conversation, and community
Sid Jacobson JCC is proud to host a special screening of The Big League as part of the 2026 Israel Film Center Festival, presented by Marlene Meyerson JCC Manhattan.
This one-night screening brings one of the festival’s featured films to SJJCC for an evening of film and conversation, followed by a Q&A with director Yaniv Berman.
About the Film
The Big League follows Eliran Ben-Tovim, a Premier League soccer coach whose career is put on hold after a professional foul during the biggest game of the season. Suspended from the professional leagues, he is sent to northern Israel to coach a middle school boys’ team that has never won a match.
As Eliran works to turn the team around, the film becomes a story of leadership, resilience, and second chances on and off the field.
