Kehilla Year-Round Programs
KEHILLA YEAR-ROUND PROGRAMS
We offer a variety of social and recreational programs at Sid Jacobson JCC, Henry Kaufmann Campgrounds, and throughout the community, geared towards individuals who have a high potential to reach independence. Advanced registration is required. In-person assessment is required for new participants or any participant who has not attended a Kehilla program in the past year. All programs are subject to run based on minimum enrollment.

KEHILLA VACATION PROGRAMS

$75 members / $85 nonmembers per day
KEHILLA SATURDAY CAMP
The excitement of camp continues all year-round with swimming, adaptive sports, cooking projects, arts and crafts, snacks, and more.
AGES: 14-21 YEARS
KEHILLA BOOK CLUB
Get immersed in a good book by reading new best-sellers and old-time classics with friends. In partnership with Nassau Literacy.
Increase coordination, balance, and movement while enjoying a variety of aerobic and strength training activities.
AGES: 16-21 YEARS
GUYS NIGHT OUT
Once a month, participate in specially themed guys’ evenings focused on participants’ interests. Enjoy opportunities to socialize, engage in new activities, and build relationships.
GIRLS NIGHT OUT
Bring your bestie and join us for an evening with the girls. Participants enjoy opportunities to socialize and engage in new activities, with plenty of time for girl talk!
A fun-filled evening for young adults to make new friends and have a safe space to share their interests. Whether it’s having a dance party, singing karaoke, playing sports, doing crafts, or just having some laughs – you don’t want to miss out!
AGES: 22-40 YEARS
KEHILLA BOWLING LEAGUE
Join your friends at Garden City Bowl. Games, shoes, and snacks provided.
KEHILLA NUTRITION + COOKING CLASS
Learn how to prepare healthy and nutritional recipes from a certified nutritionist. Limited space available.
KEHILLA ADULT SOCIAL CLUB
Join a club of like-minded adults who are seeking a social opportunity to develop lasting friendships. Participants work together to develop ideas and concepts for the program. Dues will be collected, creating a fund that will be used to support the club.
PROGRAM WITHOUT WALLS
A twelve-month program that delivers a mixture of prevocational training, social skills building, and recreation, in addition to addressing each participant’s life plan goals. Offers more support to those individuals who are not yet ready for employment. Requires OPWDD eligibility.
