Through a discussion group and re-energizing forms of exercise, survivors of all cancer types can gain support and build their physical health with other members who are facing similar circumstances.

EXERCISE CLASSES

WATER WORKOUT FOR STRENGTH + WELLNESS
Engage in low impact movements, stretching and breathing exercises to strengthen your upper and lower body in our heated pool.

THE KARMA PROJECT: GENTLE YOGA + MINDFULNESS
This gentle class will focus on the healing benefits of yoga, including supported poses
and breathing techniques that foster deep relaxation. Modifications will be offered to accommodate all levels. Taught by breast cancer survivor Ora Sucov. In partnership with United We Om.

RESTORATIVE MOVEMENT FOR THOSE IN ACTIVE CANCER TREATMENT
Experience a gentle, full-body workout designed specifically for those undergoing or recently completed cancer treatment. Our cancer exercise specialist will work with you to gain muscle strength, boost energy, manage stress, increase blood flow, and enhance your quality of life.

Increase your strength and flexibility while working with our cancer exercise specialist.

GENERAL EXERCISE GROUP: STRENGTH TO STRENGTH 201
For clients who have completed General Exercise STS 101 and have received the approval of the social worker and cancer exercise specialist to move to a transitional exercise class.  STS 201 will reinforce your increased strength & stamina and will assist you in preparing to enter regular exercise classes at SJJCC.

DANCE 
Join us for this fun Saturday morning dance class that combines gentle movement & great music to address the needs of cancer survivors.

DISCUSSION GROUP FOR MALE CANCER SURVIVORS 
This group is designed for all male cancer survivors of any age, to form connections with others in similar circumstances. Peer lead by Scott Gassman, cancer survivor and change management practitioner.

DISCUSSION GROUP FOR METASTATIC, ADVANCED, OR RECURRENT CANCER SURVIVORS
This drop-in group is for those with metastatic, advanced or recurrent cancer. Together, we’ll offer support, resources and encouragement, while sharing experiences and building relationships.
Meets the second and fourth Friday of each month
