Having a diagnosis of cancer is life-changing, and often causes anxiety and feelings of isolation. Having a place to go for support can make a world of difference in your life. The Nancy Marx Cancer Wellness Center offers support to individuals and families dealing with this disease.


RELAX RESTORE RENEW ANNUAL RETREAT

Come together to balance your life emotionally, physically, and spiritually!

This free retreat is open to survivors of all types of cancer and is run by a professionally-trained and experienced staff. Partial funding provided by Manhasset Women’s Coalition Against Breast Cancer.

  • Join us and rediscover the joy and hope in life
  • Enjoy gentle, creative and educational activities that are designed specifically for cancer survivors
  • Receive nurturing support from others dealing with similar life challenges
  • Snack and healthy lunch will be provided
  • Wear comfortable clothing and sneakers
  • Participants will receive a T-shirt and tote bag

Meet with other survivors to discuss topics related to treatment, wellness, survivorship, relationships, and body image. Funded in part by Manhasset Women’s Coalition Against Breast Cancer and Beth C. Tortolani Foundation.

This group is designed for all male cancer survivors of any age, to form connections with others in similar circumstances. Peer lead by Scott Gassman, cancer survivor and change management practitioner.

This drop-in group is for those with metastatic, advanced or recurrent cancer. Together, we’ll offer support, resources and encouragement, while sharing experiences and building relationships.

WE’VE GOT YOUR BACK — FAMILY CANCER SUPPORT
Individualized services provided to children with either a parent or sibling undergoing cancer treatment. Open to families in the Town of North Hempstead. Funded in part by Sid Jacobson JCC’s New Leadership Group.
