BERNICE & IRA WALDBAUM FAMILY CHILDREN’S CENTER — YOUTH
Sid Jacobson JCC’s Bernice & Ira Waldbaum Family Children’s Center – Youth Department offers onsite after-school activities for children at our East Hills Campus, and Center Street, Denton Avenue and Searingtown schools in the Herricks School District. All programs share the same goals: to provide safe, positive, and fun after-school experiences for all children.
Enrichment activities at Sid Jacobson JCC provide children with a unique after-school experience. From spending time together on the bus from school to the JCC, to enjoying a snack, to homework help, and recreational play, all the way to creatively expressing themselves in enrichments, each child goes home with a sense of accomplishment. Our staff, enrichment teachers, coaches, and teen volunteers all work together to create a positive after-school experience for every child.
Our offerings include classes in athletics and fitness, the arts, technology, and educational skill-building. Working with specialists from the community, Sid Jacobson JCC is able to bring you the utmost quality programming right in our building. Looking for a class we do not currently offer? Tell our team and we will gladly look into incorporating new activities into our schedule!
Our after-school programs offered in Herricks are licensed by the New York State Office of Children and Family Services. Each location offers enrichment options and homework help daily.
