DANCE CLASS FOR PARKINSON’S
Explore movement, music, and the power of dance, in this class that will improve muscular range of motion and voluntary control for those with a Parkinson’s diagnosis, in a social, joyful, and supportive environment! It is an intuitive and engaging way to incorporate repetitive movements from various dance styles including modern and theater dance, jazz, tap, ballet, and more. The class is performed in a mostly seated position. Taught by Ian Feurtado, MA, CPT, who has trained at the Mark Morris Dance Group’s Dance for PD® program.

KARATE WITH BLACK BELT MICHAEL MARGULIS
Ages: 18+ years
Learn Shorin-Ryu Karate, a traditional Okinawan martial art, practiced for centuries as a form of mental and physical discipline. This program will introduce participants to Fukugata Ichi, the first Kata form. A kata is a combination of assembled techniques designed to teach specific movements, stances, and fighting strategies. Dedicated practice builds health, strength, stamina, and endurance.
