Join us at sundown each night of Chanukah, 4:45-5pm, as our staff leads us in candle lightings!

LIGHT UP THE NIGHT: COMMUNITY CHANUKAH CELEBRATION
Celebrate the fourth night of Chanukah with activities! Bring in a canned food items for our can-struction menorah event and to be donated to SJJCC’s Community Needs Bank. Please bring an unwrapped toy for the last day of our toy drive. Thank you to Assembly member Gina Sillitti for helping us bring a smile to a child this holiday season. Due to the inclement weather, the musical portion of the event has been cancelled.

Nassau County will come together for an outdoor menorah lighting and entertainment as we dispel the darkness and say enough is enough with the rise in antisemitism.

Show off your artistic side as we hand paint an olive oil jar to celebrate Chanukah at our paint and sip event! Latkes will also be served.

FIND YOUR LIGHT DURING CHANUKAH
In honor of the holiday, Jonah Sanderson, Coordinator of our Ruth & Saul Weinberger Center for Jewish Life + Learning, and Susan Stein, LMSW-JD, social worker for our Nancy Marx Cancer Wellness Center, invite you to a special event. Jonah will share insightful text with us to deepen our understanding of the holiday’s significance, while Susan will facilitate a discussion exploring the themes of light, strength, and optimism central to the Chanukah story. This event is open to all, regardless of background or experience. Latkes and jelly doughnuts will be served.
