PIC is a social service arm of partner synagogues and Sid Jacobson JCC, supplementing and complementing the services and care provided by each organization, with professional social work support to clergy, Jewish professionals, leadership, membership and the greater community. PIC helps create a caring and responsive Jewish community.

SUPPORT GROUPS
Groups are small, intimate, age and lifestage appropriate and facilitated by caring, experienced, professional social workers. A brief telephone intake is required for registration. For more information, contact Audrey Bernstein, LMSW at 516-484-1545, ext. 196.

Strength to Strength: Cancer Wellness - FREE Cancer Wellness Program for Adults
Physical fitness and discussion geared to the special needs of individuals recovering from cancer treatment or actively engaged in a treatment regimen. Led by a professional social worker and certified cancer exercise specialist (CES). Caregivers are welcome too. Physician's clearance and intake with social worker required prior to beginning program. Funded in part by the Beth C. Tortolani Foundation and Manhasset Women's Coalition Against Breast Cancer.

Strength to Strength: North Shore Women’s Cancer Exercise and Support Group
This group is a customized fitness and support program geared to the special needs of individuals recovering from breast cancer treatment or actively engaged in a treatment regimen. All components of the Strength to Strength program are conducted by certified exercise instructors and professional social workers specially trained in dealing with the recuperative needs of cancer survivors. The Grandparents Circle
A program for Jewish grandparents whose children are intermarried that offers participants skills and techniques to share their Jewish heritage and nurture their interfaith grandchildren’s Jewish identities.

We offer professional, confidential short-term counseling for individuals, youth, teens, adults, seniors and families.
Fee FREE intake, $65 per session thereafter / members* FREE intake and complimentary follow-up session, $25 per session thereafter

INFORMATION AND REFERRAL SERVICES
We offer information and make referrals to trusted local social service organizations that can provide further support on issues including: career guidance and support services**; children with special needs***; domestic violence, financial and legal matters**; gambling; GLBT needs; geriatric care; health issues; housing, assisted living, nursing home and hospice; substance abuse (alcohol, tobacco, drugs) and bullying.
