Connect to Care

In this economic crisis, many of us find ourselves in need of support--even those of us who never expected to need assistance. The Jewish community is here for you.

UJA-Federation of New York’s Connect to Care provides:

  • Employment and career-transition services, including job networking opportunities and career seminars
  • Financial consultation, debt counseling and budget assistance
  • Legal services
  • Supportive counseling and Jewish spiritual care
  • UJA Federation of New York's Connect to Care services and programs are FREE. Sid Jacobson JCC is the Nassau County hub, providing services across the country at area synagogues and at our sister JCCs in Plainview, Oceanside and Cedarhurst.

 HOW YOU CAN HELP?

If you would like to help those people in the community who have been affected by the economic downturn,  Connect-to-Care can use your help.

If you know of any employer who is looking to hire or if you know of specific jobs that are available, please contact Suzanne Feiner, FEGS Career Services Coordinator at sfeiner@fegs.org or call 516-484-1545, ext. 214.

There is no cost to the employer.

Additionally, another way to provide support is to Volunteer with Connect-to-Care.  If you have an interest in mentoring, conducting workshops,  computer tutoring or anything else that would be of value to people in transition, please contact Lori Scollo at lscollo@sjjcc.org or call 516-484-1545, ext. 212.
