Academic & Test Prep Program
The JCC Regents Prep Class offers a comprehensive overview of the Regents course, thorough review of the different sections of the exam and focuses on common trouble areas and questions posted by students.

SAT / PSAT
PowerPrep, Inc. PowerPrep,
Inc. Dr. Ira Wolf, a nationally known expert in test
preparation, personally supervises each course in the PowerPrep program. Dr.
Wolf is the author of several books, including Barron's best selling SAT and
PSAT books, as well as a book for the SAT Subject Test: Math Level 1. Please
note: All students who enroll in a course and pay the full tuition by 10 days
before the date of the first class will be charged the discounted early
registration fee. JCC members who enroll on time pay either the early
registration fee or the member fee, whichever is less. If

Introduction
to the PSAT
This
4-week course covers general test-taking strategies plus specific tactics for
each section of the test: reading, math, and writing skills. Each week we
analyze a complete PSAT exam.

Extended PSAT Course
This 6-week course is intended for students who want more
preparation and practice than is available in the Introduction to the PSAT.
The extra time allows students to master more fully the techniques that are
taught in the course.

Special PSAT/NMSQT Course
Registration in this more advanced 6-week course is
limited to students who have demonstrated that they have the potential (with
sufficient preparation) to become commended students or semifinalists in the
National Merit competition.
Note: The goal of this course is to provide students with the best
possible preparation for the PSAT and to start their preparation for the SAT.
If, as a result, they earn scores that qualify them for National Merit
recognition (as most students did last year), that is a bonus; but there is
no guarantee that any particular student will do so.

This three-week course is for
students who took a PowerPrep PSAT course in the summer and who want some
additional review and practice right before the PSAT.

This 5-week course teaches all the test-taking strategies that are

ACT Courses

5-week course covers all the test-taking strategies that are unique to the ACT
and teaches special tactics for every type of question on all four parts of the
test. Each week an actual ACT exam is assigned for homework and analyzed in
