Our brand new, state-of-the-art facility is located in beautiful Brookville, minutes from Northern Blvd., nestled comfortably in our private enclave for learning and growth. We offer an exclusive program that fosters exploration, creativity, social development and intellectual advancement. Building upon our 40+ years of experience serving the JCC community, we have created an exceptional early child care program.

The needs of your child and your family are our primary concern at Bernice Jacobson Day School & Camp. We welcome children ages 3-24 months.

Our highly skilled staff is focused on enriching the life of your child through play and exploration in a safe, nurturing environment. Toys and materials are always developmentally-appropriate and caregivers respect individual differences in children's abilities, interests and preferences, as well as variations among cultures and backgrounds.

Based On The Principles of Reggio Emilia
Founded in the Municipality of Reggio Emilia, Italy in 1963, their early childhood educational system is widely considered the best early childhood system in the world. Characterized by progressive thinking, our philosophy is rooted in the commitment to promote children's education through the development of all their languages: expressive, communicative, symbolic, cognitive, ethical, metaphorical, logical, imaginative and relational. Incorporating light, nature and exploration, there is a strong reliance on dialogue, the comparison of ideas, and interactive exchange with other realities.

About Our Facility
The physical space of our facility is crucial to our method of teaching. Using the vast wonders of nature that surround us, children are encouraged to explore and assimilate what they see and find with what they create. Since the learning at Bernice Jacobson Day School & Camp is based on emergent curriculum, schedules are flexible and daily activities are often adjusted to meet children's interests.

SCHOOL HOURS & ENROLLMENT

Flexibility is the Key
Our general hours are Monday-Friday, 8:00am-6:00pm. We encourage parents to talk with us about your needs so that we may come up with a program that is best suited for your child and your family year round.
